People are becoming random data that can be searched and sorted. The true essence of a person is always so much more than that.

Ryan built LegacyStream out of a conviction that has only grown stronger over time: that the digital footprint we're leaving behind is a poor substitute for the lives we actually lived. With a background spanning finance, technology, and entrepreneurship, he has spent his career at the intersection of complex systems and human outcomes — and became increasingly troubled by what the internet was doing to personal identity and memory.

"People should be remembered not by the TikTok videos they liked." That's not a tagline — it's the thing that keeps the work going. The internet is extraordinarily good at capturing the surface of a person. LegacyStream is built to go deeper: to capture the stories behind the choices, the context behind the silence, the full human being behind the profile.
