2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
We collect information you provide when you register, use, or interact with our Services:

We work with trusted third-party service providers who are contractually required to protect your data and may only use it for the purposes we specify:

4.3 Legal Requirements

5. Your Biographical Content — Special Protections
Because of the deeply personal nature of biographical content, we apply enhanced protections beyond standard data privacy practices:
- Private by Default: Your biography is visible only to you and those you explicitly authorize
- No Advertising Use: Your content will never be used to serve advertisements or shared with advertising networks
- No AI Training Without Consent: We will not use your content to train AI models that benefit other users without your separate, explicit written consent
- No Routine Content Review: We access your content only for customer support, abuse investigation, or legal compliance
- Permanent Deletion on Request: You may request permanent deletion of all your biographical content at any time
5.1 Photo & Audio Metadata
Photos and audio files you upload may contain embedded metadata (location data, timestamps, device info). We use this only to organize your content within the Services. You may remove metadata from files before uploading if you prefer.
6. AI & Data Handling
6.1 How AI Processes Your Data
Our AI systems process your interview responses and biographical content to generate narrative biography text. This processing occurs within secure infrastructure and is governed by the same data protection standards as all other processing.
6.2 AI Training & Model Improvement
We do not use your biographical content to train AI models without your explicit consent. We may use anonymized, aggregated usage data — not biographical content — to improve our AI systems. If we ever wish to use your content for AI training, we will request explicit opt-in consent.
6.3 AI for ADRD & Vulnerable Populations
- Session data is never used beyond delivering the biography Services to that individual
- Coaches or authorized family members may review, edit, and approve all AI-generated content before finalization
- We do not retain session-level data from ADRD users beyond what is necessary to complete and store the biography
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
- Biographical content is stored in encrypted databases
- Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis
- We conduct regular security assessments
- Payment data is handled by PCI-DSS compliant processors — we never store full card numbers
- We maintain incident response procedures to address security breaches promptly

8. Data Retention
8.1 Account Data
We retain your account information and biographical content for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to allow reactivation and to comply with legal obligations. We will never delete your biographical content unless you instruct us to.
8.2 Deletion Requests
You may request deletion of your biographical content or your entire account at any time. Upon receiving a deletion request:
- Your content will be removed from our active platform immediately
- Permanent deletion from all backup systems will occur within 90 days
- We may retain certain non-content data (billing records, legal compliance records) as required by law
8.3 Post-Account Termination
If you terminate your account, you will have 30 days to export your biographical content before permanent deletion. Contact support@legacystreamai.com if you need extended access.

Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
For users aged 13–17, parental or guardian consent is required before using our Services independently. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will promptly delete that information.

Your biographical content should always be accessible to you, regardless of subscription status. At any time, you can download your content in:

- Photo archive (ZIP file of uploaded photos)

13. Third-Party Links & Services
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or integrations. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies independently.
Where we integrate with third-party services (e.g., payment processors, cloud storage), we select providers with strong privacy and security practices and require appropriate data processing agreements.
